We were never down four starters on offense at any point last year.......
Horanski had a concussion late in the season...….but that's it...…...and its not just down four guys. As you probably know, protection in the lineup changes, guys that aren't natural RBI guys out of position in the lineup, and there are a few that are just plain not ready to play quite yet. Slice it up how you want, four out of an offensive lineup is very hard and will impact a reduced batting average for sure.
As far as the ERA, There is no way an improvement of almost two runs a game is not the result of better pitching......there is not that great a difference in fielding percentage to make up that big of a difference......sure walks are slightly up and at this point, I don't think its a false positive...….
Not sure you can compare a team from one year to the next that has 21 new players...….in a lot of years, you may have more crossover to compare somewhat.....thanks for your research on this...….
